History

Nestled in the heart of Memphis, TN, GraceLife Pentecostal Church stands as a beacon of hope and transformation, embodying its mission of being “a place where grace changes lives.” Under the inspiring leadership of Pastor Bill and Stephany Parkey, along with a dedicated team of leaders, the church is fervently committed to reaching its community and sharing the message of grace.

As the calendar turned to 2024, Pastor Parkey boldly declared this year a time for baptisms and spiritual renewal. From the beginning of the year through the vibrant celebrations of Easter and Pentecost Sunday, culminating in a powerful revival with Rev. Taylor Fish, the church witnessed a remarkable outpouring of faith and commitment. Throughout these pivotal moments, God moved in incredible ways, bringing countless individuals to the waters of baptism and transforming their lives.

One of the highlights of the year was the Dear Girls Conference, which drew over 700 young women from near and far. An added blessing was a spontaneous baptism that took place during the Friday night service: two young ladies, who walked in off the streets, encountered the transformative love of Jesus and were baptized in His name right in the middle of the service.

In addition to these powerful moments, GraceLife has seen an incredible revival within the Spanish-speaking community. This growth can be partly attributed to the successful English as a Second Language (ESL) classes held on Thursday nights, which have attracted as many as 150 attendees. At the end of each semester, the church hosts a bilingual service to honor those who have completed the ESL program. As the year concluded, GraceLife celebrated a momentous achievement: 139 individuals were baptized, and 62 were filled with the Holy Ghost.
